Youngstown Spanish Academy Mission

Youngstown Spanish Academy

A great way for you and your family to get a sampling of the multifaceted Hispanic/Latino culture from a variety of Spanish-speaking countries is to join the festivities at the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration at Youngstown State University. Features and events include cultural displays detailing the unique aspects of various Hispanic cultures, musical and dance performances, group discussions, art exhibitions, a flag ceremony, food and souvenir vendors, and a keynote speaker. Also, Youngstown has its own Mexican-American Organization: the Sociedad Mutualista Mexicana, also known as the Youngstown Mexican Club. The Club, which also operates La Fiesta Restaurant, has been a haven for Youngstown area Mexican-Americans since 1937. Their dream is to keep Mexican culture alive in Ohio and share the culture’s beauty with the local community.

Your child will reap a lifetime of benefits by learning Spanish as a child in Youngstown. Now is a great time to give your child the gift of bilingualism.
